Nicholsons UK has been selected as a Category Partner by global power leader Cummins Inc.

Category Partners are a smaller subset of the total supply base that have been identified as Cummins preferred suppliers for specific categories. Cummins expectations of Category Partners include collaboration on innovation and new product introduction, zero defects, excellent delivery with capacity ahead of demand, and sustainability with regards the environment, diversity and community.

Nicholsons UK has been a committed supplier of resilient metal seals and gaskets to Cummins for over 15 years, and the award of Category Partner is testament to Nicholsons consistent class-leading quality and delivery performance.

Laser Cutting Capacity Doubles at Nicholsons

The laser cutting capacity at Nicholsons Group has recently doubled with the purchase of additional Coherent Metabeam 400 lasers at both our UK and US facilities.

In recent years Nicholsons has invested heavily in incorporating various of our previously sub-contracted processes in to our on-site manufacturing capabilities. This has resulted in greater control over the manufacture and quality of our products, which in turn has allowed us to drive down lead times.

Nicholsons use laser cutting as part of the manufacturing process for particular product groups. This results in reduced tooling costs and lead times for both small volume prototype batches as well as full volume production.

Nicholsons UK and US are Nadcap approved for laser cutting.

Nicholsons transition to new ISO14001:2015 standard

Nicholsons UK is pleased to announce that as of 5th January 2018 we have been approved to the new industry recognised ISO14001:2015 standard.

ISO14001:2015 is the new revision of ISO14001:2004, which specifies the requirements for an effective environmental management system. We continue to improve our environmental processes and our successful transition to the new standard illustrates our ongoing commitment to protect the environment.
